Master Non-Surgical Periodontal Treatments with the Advanced Study Club
This study club is designed for dentists and hygienists to enhance their skills in nonsurgical periodontal and peri-implant care. Topics include advanced scaling and root planing techniques, peri-implantitis management, and patient education strategies to improve oral hygiene compliance.
Participants will also explore emerging technologies like laser therapy, air polishing, and digital tools for treatment planning. Facilitators & Instructors
Dr. Jennifer Watters, Periodontist
A graduate of UC San Francisco, has over 30 years of experience as a periodontist. She began her dental career as a dental assistant but discovered her passion for periodontics while working with specialists. Dr. Watters has served as an Adjunct Assistant Clinical Professor at both the University of the Pacific and the University of Washington. She is a member of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, the International Congress of Oral Implantology, and other professional organizations. Dedicated to giving back, she also provides care to underprivileged and disabled children and young adults.
Elizabeth Frieder, RDH, BS
AĀ highly experienced dental hygienist with a Bachelor of Science degree. With extensive experience in periodontal care and a dedication to ongoing professional development, she is passionate about advancing oral health through patient education and preventive care.
Dr. Yolanda Mangrum
An accomplished dentist who graduated from the UC San Francisco School of Dentistry in 1997. She was a clinical professor at UCSF and the UOP Dental Schools. With prestigious titles, including Master and the Lifelong Learning & Service Award from the Academy of General Dentistry, she is passionate about facial esthetics, Botox, regenerative medicine, dental implants, and sleep apnea. For over 15 years, she has been dedicated to delivering comprehensive care in a multi-specialty group practice. Her ethics and ambition have made her a respected leader and educator.
